Following a staff nomination then an internal vote, Barclays’ Procurement Team became one of our largest corporate supporters to date. The 800-strong team, alongside their 25+ suppliers, raised an incredible £8,000 for APF during their annual charity activity day in Northampton. The team invited selected suppliers, colleagues and 3 benefiting charities to play a game of golf, partake in other fun activities, enjoy a 3 course meal in the evening and the opportunity to bid on our prize auction that we hold.
The company was able to match this donation to double the impact for people living with pulmonary fibrosis. This means an amazing £16,000 was raised, as well as the chance for us to raise awareness of pulmonary fibrosis and the work we are doing to support people living with it. There is no doubt that Barclays’Procurement Team and their generous suppliers have been instrumental in helping APF to grow our direct services, which are now reaching over 15,000 a year, in addition to around 60,000 people a quarter visiting our online information.
